A True Baller

posted on: Friday, January 27, 2012

I'm alive!
You were probably worried. You were, right? Right?
Anywayyyy...
Oh. Em. Gee. The last few weeks have been n.u.t.s. In the best way possible.
Every piece of clothing I own is covered in chocolate (I know, Leesh, I'm getting an apron! Promise.) and all that I’ve thought about are balls. Cake balls, people.

It’s true. As of this week, I am an official baller and business owner.
Woah.
*pinch*

I’m totally freaked out, but the good kind of freaked out that’s like part excitement and part terror. You know what I mean.
Despite my “deer in the headlights” stare, I’m having a blast and so far so good. People seem to like my balls. CAKE balls. Come on now.

Sooo, check out my page here. AND ‘like’ me on FB here. Who knows, perhaps you’ll have a chance to enter into some giveaways in the near future. Free balls!
…get your mind outta the gutter. You know what I mean.

Back to Business

Geeeeeeze! I've been away so long, I've forgotten how to use this thing.
Remember when I told you here that I was venturing up to Boise town to hang with the realest baller I know? Well, I did. And it was awesome.
We balled, we dined, we poured some out for the homies, we got free massages, we realized why they were free (ouch!), and I tried my very first Kalimotxo. We spent time together, relaxed together, and played trivia. We even had a totally rockin' night with Elvis and painted newspaper nails (so. awesome.)
I totally fell in love with Boise, Idaho. The hospitality, the sweetest little "Danger" I know and the World's Coolest Cousin helped out a bit too, not to mention I'm a total sucker for potatoes and they specialize in them up there. Boise, you rock my world.
Now I'm home, I've got some new 'ballin' skills, and I'm ready to roll (pun intended.)

Sometimes and Always

posted on: Tuesday, January 3, 2012

Sometimes: I get phone calls from numbers I don't know.
Always: I answer but I don't say anything, in case they say something first and I realize I don't want to talk to them.

Sometimes: I make big plans to do exciting things after work.
Always: I get home and decide that the most fun awaiting me is in my pajamas and on my couch.

Sometimes: I get sick.
Always: I whine and whine about it to Honey until I feel better.

Sometimes: My hormones are outta whack and my inner beast in unleashed.
Always: Nothing a little Symphony bar can't fix (and by little, I mean the King Size).
Did I say King Size? Oops, apparently I meant the GIANT BAR.
Sometimes: It's too late at night to call my Mama.
Always: I'm so glad she's text saavy and will respond in the morning.

Sometimes: I have really wild weekends.
Always: The pain I feel the next day(s) is totally worth it. Happy New Year.

Tuesday 1:47 PM

We're still in bed. I'm still sipping my coffee in hopes it will magically motivate me. And I still can't think of a better post than this.
Happy Tuesday.
My New Year's Resolutions are off to a great start (obvi).

the world's supposed to end this year but i'm STILL following through with my resolutions.

I cannot believe the year is 2012.
And I really hope the world doesn't end.
But seriously, 2012. Where has the time gone?

Honey and I bundled up last night and ventured down our beautiful Main St. to enjoy what it offers. The temple square lights are about to turn off which makes me really happy but really sad at the same time. It's been so awesome to live in our little downtown apartment during the holidays and enjoy the most festive lights of Salt Lake City, because they literally shine through our windows. It hasn't been so awesome dealing with the hoardes of people that steal all of our parking spaces. I'll miss the bright lights but oh how I welcome the quiet nights!
Our festive street

We rang in the New Year with homemade pasta, wine and fried ice cream courtesy of Michaelangelo's on Main, then spent the rest of the evening with good friends, great music and some more of that good ol' holiday 'cheer' which may or may not have included the entire bowl of party goldfish all. to. myself. It was just the right way to usher out the year and welcome the next.
Speaking of the next year...
I am determined to kick your butt, 2012. I'm not quite sure how, yet (it's in the works), but I just KNOW that I am going to own you.
Beginning with my 2012 Resolution Board:

I've got big plans this year, an apocalypse NOT being one of them, but even with the impending doom, I'm really pretty excited to see where the year takes me. So, cheers my friends. And a happy happy new year!

xoxo,
Kait
