As beautiful as Fall is, it's kind of pesky too. The trees in front of my apartment have shed their leaves a dozen times it seems. I feel like there is ALWAYS someone out there blowing them and raking them up, blowing them and raking them up. I shouldn't really be complaining though. It's not like I'm the one out there blowin' and rakin'. I'm pretty sure whoever is out there is relieved though because the last of the leaves have finally been stuffed into the last of those big orange 'leaf' bags (hopefully).
To top off a great holiday weekend, Mama, Shelbs and I wandered up City Creek Canyon today in search of some beauty to be found in the fallen leaves and naked trees. We found plenty of beauty and the blue sky and bright sun helped a little too.
Happy Sunday,
Kait
It's What Fun Is!

Summer has finally begun and it's already been the best summer ever thanks to my handy Lagoon season pass. So far, I've made it to the fun park twice, and already it was totally worth the $107. Cheers to nurturing my inner 6-year old. Happy Summer!

Hiding in the Hole

Mission accomplished.
I've spent this weekend genuinely admiring the majestic beauty of the Tetons and enjoying every moment I've spent in snowy Jackson Hole, WY. Thanks, Winter. You're not so bad. I needed that.
Kindly,
Kait
10 Reasons I Appreciate Winter
posted on: Friday, December 26, 2008

1. I can cry over anything and blame it on seasonal depression.
2. Electric blankets... on high.
3. My razors last longer but it's definitely not because my leg hairs grow slower.
4. No mosquitoes.
5. Snowy conditions make a great excuse for calling into work, school, and/or life.
6. Hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps. 100 proof.
7. Everyone loves a colorful Christmas sweater.
8. The end of one year and beginning of the next.
9. Turkey, cranberry relish, mashed potatoes, yams, stuffing, corn, green beans, homemade rolls, pies, baked alaska, and of course... Martinelli's.
10. Toe socks.
But the greatest thing about winter is that with each passing day I'm one day closer to a more comfortable season. Hurry your ass up, Summertime.
